Associate Scientist II/Scientist I

This position requires the individual to have a strong background in immunology or a related field, and experience with immunologic assays. The duties of this position will involve supporting a multidisciplinary team to develop IMT biologics for cancer therapy, and conducting independent, hands-on lab activities utilizing in vivo mouse cancer models (e.g., syngeneic, autochthonous and/or xenograft) and in vitro cell-based immunoassays (ELISA, immuno-fluorescence microscopy, immunoblotting, si/shRNA assays). In-depth and hands-on expertise with the use of multi-parameter flow cytometry to analyze immune cells is required. The ability to independently design and execute on research plans for one or more programs, and to review, analyze, and interpret experimental results are essential. The successful candidate is expected to demonstrate outstanding verbal and written communication skills, innovation, creativity and the ability to interact in a collaborative environment within the group and cross-functionally. Education/Experience: Assoc. Sci II - B.S. - 8+yrs revelant immunology experience; M.S. - 5+yrs relevant immunology experience or equivalent education in the field of immunology. Bioinformatics Scientist

Core Function: Develop, implement and support novel bioinformatics solutions designed to drive the interrogation of human disease biology using bio molecular probes. This includes signal pathway analysis, cellular characterization, integrated -omics technologies, and other systems biology methods for biomarker and target discovery. Perform expert scientific research in Oncology projects, including establishment of scientific hypothesis that can be approached using computational methods and tools. Prepare manuscripts from findings for publication in peer reviewed journals and forums. Represent Oncology and R&D IS departments at scientific conferences and talks where findings are disseminated. Conduct data mining activities through the design and delivery of databases, tools, techniques and scientific applications. Create standard data models and perform statistical modeling for -omics, strain, assay, patient, biomarker, and other scientific data sets as required for integrated data visualizations and analysis. Work with external and internal collaborators to transform, normalize, and map scientific information required for analysis. Engage external experts and collaborative groups promoting data standards and optimal use of informatics in scientific analysis, data utilization, information generation, and knowledge management. Partner across functions and therapeutic areas, and actively contribute to the establishment of the informatics community body of knowledge and technology "toolbox" that is broadly applied to R&D scientific questions. Assist and support the core informatics team with integration of R&D informatics systems across multiple therapeutic areas to optimize data flow and speed to the clinic. Provide subject matter expertise and promote a culture of knowledge sharing across functions.
